GARDEN & TEA PARTY IDEAS FOR ALL AGES!

Summer is approaching and we all know we love spending time in nice weather! Do you have a special birthday coming up or need a bridal shower idea but don't know what to do? Well I want to let you know Garden & Tea Parties are becoming more popular around this season. You probably say how can that be fun for the more energenic crowd. CHANGE is always FUN! This is probably one of the least expensive parties to throw.

Let's start off with food, pretty much anything goes in this department, from herbs and spice dips with bread to garden vegetables and chicken with potatoes. I would suggest to make your guests participate in your special event by letting them use their talents to bring a dish that has their favorite secret recipe! Everyone always enjoys bringing something along to a house party. This makes things much easier for them by just telling them what to bring. Displaying food is always important. Don't just throw your food in a pot or simple dish. Make it interesting with your theme. For example, in our concept photo we have showed you to put food in ceramic flower pot dishes. There are many dishes in department stores that incorporates garden designs. I know stores like Kohl's, Marshall's, Walmart and even Dollar stores all have some sorta stylish dish that is VERY inexpensive. The more thought you put into it, the more of an outstanding event it will be! It's easy for food ideas with this theme but to be creative, ALWAYS make the end of the party the best part! I have suggested a dessert parfait to go with your theme. Guests will be thinking it looks just like a garden! Please see photo for design. It entitles fudge brownie, vanilla ice cream, crushed oreo cookies, a mint sprig and why not throw in a gummy worm! It will be sure to get your guest laughing with such CREATIVITY! Also don't forget to serve Tea in signature Tea cups!

Next, let's talk decor. For tables, I would suggest green table clothes and centerpieces either summer flowers or your guests favors! We have included favors from our Bella M Events Kate Aspen Collection that are simply adorable. Ensure napkins are a bunch of fun girly colors and make some of them pop by stuffing them in cups or glasses around the table. We also have a very neat idea with a place card order that is a mini tree. You can place these inexpensive decor items around the tables or backyard ledges with photos of you and your guests. It will be sure to get conversations going about the great times you had together. For drinks, always have water with lemons and limes. They add a nice touch when displayed as well. Since it is summer, why not make frozen fruit drinks!

Last but not least, think of an activity to go with your theme. A suggestion would be to have your guests create their very own tea party hat! Run to a inexpensive craft store such as Michael's, Rag Shop, Kmart, Walmart, or a Dollar store and buy all different kinds of straw hats! Along with the hats, look for feathers, pearls and any other accessories you can find. Have them displayed on a corner table and make your guests wonder what it is for. Place hats and accessories in bins or on top of bins for display with a few flower petals. Be sure to take many photos together once everyone is done!
