YELLOW, BLACK, & WHITE WEDDING IDEAS AND PHOTOS

Enclosed is a yellow, black and white color concept for a wedding and a movie themed party which I have chosen, "How to lose a guy in ten days". Now we all know the movie, and the title couldn't be further then the truth of what really happens at the end of it. One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Kate Hudson comes out in the canary yellow dress so I figure I show a concept in yellow, black and white to tye the two concepts together.

TABLE OPTIONS:

There are so many ways to design a reception table and I have showed a few options below that include unique candle holders, different centerpieces with colored vases and ways to change up plates and table linen. Damask is very popular amongst brides that have chosen this color palette. You will have to decide the look you like. Are you more simple or a dramatic kind of person--like the movie! I really love so many styles. It is hard for me to even choose. Discuss different ideas with your significant other and come to a mutual agreement. It is important for both parties to have a say.

BUDGET:

There are ways you can make a wonderful reception without spending a fortune. It may look expensive but you can really create a concept to fit your own budget. The key is to shop around and not settle for something you fall in love with at first site. You can always find it somewhere else cheaper. Switching up the color around the reception table will really make the table "pop". Your guests won't know where to look first which makes it fun also! A cost effiective way to save on small details is include the seating card display with your thank you favor. It can be a frame, a card holder, a candle that holds up the seating card, etc.

I enclosed two items from our favor shop. One is an ideal compact mirror that comes in a velvet pouch and the other is a calla lily frame which can be used for seating arrangements or as another option for a thank you favor. As a suggestion, I would say rent the movie to capture the little details if you decide to do the movie theme. You do not have to have the exact items in the movie but you can come up with ways to include the details. For example, when Kate comes out in the dress she ends up wearing a beautiful piece of jewelry that the jewelry event provides to her. We know jewels are expensive but you can tye that in by adding a gem to your shoes. I have displayed what I mean in the small details photo!

CAR ENTRANCE:

You may love vintage cards and limos but have you ever thought having a scooter like the movie? I think it is a unique detail to do something outside the box on your wedding day, especially if you are having a outdoor wedding. It should also reduce costs to rent one for the day.

ENTERTAINMENT:

Like the movie, I would go with a band setting for music. It is very elegant. If you are not fond of bands, you can have a DJ and then possibly have live percussion during the cocktail hour.  A live saxophone is beautiful!

CAKE:

Ensure your cake matches the overall look of your wedding i.e. colors, design, invitations, should be considered. It is important to have everything in sync from start to finish. The cake is one of main attractions at the wedding.
