WAYS TO INCORPORATE BRIDE AND GROOM HOBBIES TO WEDDING RECEPTION

Often enough you will hear when you are engaged that the wedding day is," All about the Bride". This is very untrue. It is a very special occassion for two individuals in love. The wedding day should reflect the both of you and your story i.e. the way you both met, who you both are as individuals and when together. When planning for your special day, make sure to include your groom in everything. They would like to feel special too!

I have searched high and low for unique ways to tell your story. Please take a look at the photos below and the captions of each. I hope they spark your creative juices when thinking of what can be done to reflect the both of you. In addition, in no particular order, here are a few thoughts to consider on ways to incorporate both of you on your special day.

10 WAYS TO INCORPORATE THE BRIDE & GROOM:

1. A surprise groom cake.

2. Include favorite hobbies and your careers into the design i.e. sports, food, what you do for a living, etc.

3. Have the groom choose a song to walk down the aisle too when he enters the ceremony site.

4. Incorporate favorite colors into the reception i.e. florals, table linens, or stationary items.

5. Make plans for a surprise performance either for the each of you, by the each of you or for your guests i.e. singing or dance number.

6. Honor both your parents and loved ones that have passed with special songs dedicated to them throughout the reception night. Ask your parents what their favorite songs are or what their own wedding songs were. You can also choose your own as well.

7. Let the groom be completely in charge of an aspect of the wedding, such as the music or photography.

8. Make plans to get pampered together i.e. Haircuts, Massages, Mani, Pedi, etc.

9. Give the groom a wedding-day gift of something he loves to do or watch i.e. Sports tickets or personalized sporting equipment.

10. Choose items you both agree on or compromise on items. Limit this to one or two items i.e. cigar bar for him and martini bar for you.
