The con to having this set up is more towards your bridal party and relatives, as it does not allow them to seat with their guest or additional family members. The pro to you in having one is having company however the con is you feeling obligated to spend enough time at the table then walk around, not to offend them. It depends what your needs are.

WHY HAVE A SWEETHEART TABLE?

By having a sweetheart table, it enables you to have private time with your partner to discuss highlights of the day such as the ceremony, photography session, food, entertainment, etc without feeling obligated to stay at a table with others. You will be able to enjoy the night and walk to the other tables when you are ready.
